The regulation of our uses of the marine environment is becoming more prominent in international affairs. This introduction to maritime political geography aims to offer an authoritative treatment of the geographic aspects of the new law of the sea, as expressed by the United Nations Convention, drawing upon the author's own experience in this field. Background information is followed by chapters explaining the relevant provisions of the Convention, while topics excluded from the Convention are also addressed.
